The Flying Fig Delicatessen

If you’re in Adelaide, love bagels, fresh homemade jams and milkshakes, this place needs to be added to your brunch list.

Whilst staying in Adelaide the receptionist at our accomodation highly recommended this delicatessen just a minutes walk down the street. After an early morning flight this meal did not disappoint!

Alexandra ordered the Schmear House Bagel with Neufchatel and preserve with a side of avocado. As well as an oat milk Iced coffee.

The bagel was toasted perfectly. The Neufchatel cheese was creamy and light. The house made preserve was like a slightly spicy fruit jam paired with the avocado was delicious. Loved being able to assemble my own toppings.

I ordered the Breakfast Bagel with house smoked bacon and house tomato relish. Usually the bagel comes with a fried egg but as I’m allergic to egg they were more than happy to substitute for halloumi cheese.

Bagel was filling and choccie milkshake was perfect to wash it all down.
